She attended Troy State University in Troy. She is a member of Oasis Church International, Phenix City, Alabama under the spiritual leadership of Bishop Doctor Wayne Babb and Senior Pastor Willie Sutton. She is actively involved in the help ministry as one of the Praise and Worship Leaders, Sound Technician in the Music Ministry, TV/Media Ministry and The Prison Outreach Ministry. Phyllis has an awesome call on her life, which is to spread the gospel as an anointed and powerful songwriter. She has written and recorded several Christian songs to include the theme song for Oasis Church International. She has also written songs for several recording artists. She has ministered at Christ For The Nation in Fort Worth, Texas. She has also performed at local events as well as events throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia. She has opened for Artists such as Phil Driscoll, Helen Baylor, Lester Lewis, Anointed and Darwin Hobbs. She is also an Executive of Favor Productions.
