KarenCLICK TO GO BACK... Karen Jakes Karen, one of the original founding members, was born in the Hampton/Newport news area. At the age of 3 she was already singing in the children's choir and at 8, she accepted Jesus. Soon afterwards she had her first solo, 'Jesus Loves Me.' She also plays several instruments to include violin, flute, piccolo, clarinet and tenor sax. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in music.She loves to write music and has penned several songs for the group as well as songs for her job and various functions. Currently she is choir director at her home church, First African Baptist in Columbus, GA. She is married to Dr. Dwayne D.
