BrianCLICK TO GO BACK... Brian Roberts A classically trained musician, Brian was born in Ft. Benning, Ga and raised in Columbus, Ga. He is the only child of Willie and Lamar Roberts. He knew at the early age of 5 that he wanted to learn piano and from there he went on to perfect his gift. He even was given the honor of accompanying the Columbus Symphony Orchestra at age 13. Brian began perfecting his voice while attending First African Baptist Church where he sang his first solo in the Men's Choir at 14. He has played for several groups and has also opened for The Williams Brothers, Canton Spirituals, and others and accompanied Dorthy Norwood. Currently Minister of Music at Phillips Temple CME, he is also a producer and songwriter as well as actor winning Best Actor for his role as Purlie in the theatrical adaption of 'Purlie.'His musical influences include Bach and Beethoven, Chopin, Frankie Beverly, Brian McKnight, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Canton Jones, Joe Sample to name a few. He can be heard on the CD entitled Rev. Percy Roberson and the Voices of Deliverance on which he was musical Director.
